Looking Forward to 2010
2010 is shaping up to be an interesting year… more LEGO Toy Story pictures have been released… and I’m personally excited about the collectable minifig series that is due out next summer…
On the technology side, I’ll be working on the Brickworld web-site over the next few weeks, getting it ready for open registration… I’ve been helping Joe Meno out with a few special projects (can’t talk about details yet)… I’ve started a Google Wave asking AFOLs their opinions of the impact of this new technology will be on the AFOL community (send me an email if you want to join in the discussion, or if you need a Google Wave account)… So far, it’s more about playing with and understanding this new technology… As a result from the discussion, there’s been a Google Wave containing a global AFOL contact list… And I’ve got some updates planned for BrickBuildr…
On the LUG side, there’s the normal train shows & LUG displays at MegaCon and Festival of the Masters, but next year Star Wars Celebration V will be coming to Orlando, Aug. 12-15, 2010… the LUG will be looking into doing a display at CV… if we get display space, we’re thinking about asking other LUGs to join us…
